The trailer for the upcoming new film Hypnotic paints a terrifying picture of a therapist using hypnosis to control his patients.  Whilst hypnosis is incredibly powerful, thankfully this is far from the reality.  The truth is that hypnosis gives YOU greater control over your mental and emotional states and when used right can help you achieve your goals. 

You might not realise, but we often go into a hypnosis all by ourselves.   Anytime you get lost in a good book or a movie, or you’re driving and not thinking where you’re going.  These are just a few examples of how we go into hypnosis in our day to day lives.  All hypnosis really is self-hypnosis, whilst the hypnotherapist guides the process, it is you who goes into hypnosis. 

I have developed a protocol for self-hypnosis which incorporates the 7 C’s of leadership;  capability, compassion, confidence, commitment, character, connection and cognition and using these for self-leadership.
